Cancun - Top Travel Destination for Americans

As more and more are vaccinated, or otherwise feel ready to travel, where are they heading? Increasingly to Cancun. In March the Cancun International Airport welcomed over 1.5 million arrivals. Things are looking up for the beach destination.

Have you ever been to Cancun? For many the answer is certainly yes. Cancun’s status as a top destination is hardly news. But how much of it have you really seen?

So many never venture beyond the hotel zone. I get it - the hotel zone in Cancun is exactly what many are looking for. Miles of amazing beaches, the blue Caribbean water, and all the night life one could ask for. So for many who are looking to travel, that is the perfect spot.

The thing is though, within a few hours of Cancun are so many exciting places to visit. Amazing Mayan ruins, water parks, cenotes… the list goes on and on.

As beautiful as Cancun’s beaches are, places like Cenote Ik Kil have to be seen in person to be believed

A typical beach vacation at an all-inclusive resort is one week long. Why not spend one day of that seeing something absolutely special? Xcaret Mexico has some specials on for the month of May. Want to see amazing Mayan ruins?

Or maybe you want to go to a world famous adventure park, where you can zip line, drive amphibious vehicles, and explore underground rivers? An hour south of Cancun is Playa Del Carmen. And right beside Playa are some of the best water and adventure parks you will find anywhere!

The point being - there is a lot to do in and around Cancun. I’ve been visiting for years, and decided to make it my winter home. If you are just the least bit adventurous there is so much to do.

Or maybe you just want to lay on the beach for a week. That’s awesome too.
