I have this friend who loves airplanes so much that he schedules his flights to have the most connections possible. Seriously, for flights which could be direct, he will have 2 or 3 connections. When he flew to Brazil he had 4! Only needed one, but had 4, because he wanted to fly on a specific plane he had never been on before. So he booked this crazy route.

On the other hand, I just like airports. Each one is different. The food is different, the stores are different. I just enjoy wandering around new airports. Two of my favorites are Minneapolis MN and Houston TX, but in truth, I like them all. Well, all of the big ones. There isn’t much excitement in a tiny airport with one Tim Horton’s coffee shop (yes, I am Canadian) and nothing else.

One thing I love - they always have the most unhealthy local food. Like, if you knew nothing about a city’s food scene, and you only passed through the airport, you would assume everyone in that city is super unhealthy! But still, when you are waiting to catch a 4 hour flight, and you aren’t sure if a meal will be served, suddenly that Chicago-style hot dog becomes tempting. You may regret it later, but you will find yourself in line for one!
