What strange things do you pack?
So we are getting ready to head south for the winter. This will be our 5th winter away, and each year the packing gets stranger.
The first year - normal stuff. Clothes, swimsuit, sunscreen. Laptop and tablet. Just the usual. Now - I have a suitcase with a portable water softener, an extra large roll of parchment paper, and a portable artist’s easel.
The more time you spend abroad, the more you discover the things you wish you had with you. You are away, have some spare time on your hands, and want to do - something. If only you had that one item from home. In many cases you can just buy it, but not always. Then - no matter how great things are - you suddenly wish you had that one thing.
My suitcase also has paintbrushes. I never have enough brushes
Sometimes it’s food - at least if you are gone long enough. My wife once packed half a suitcase with keto friendly bread. (@ketoanytimeanywhere). Last year I brought 6 boxes of my favorite tea.
